New reagent for testing the content of hydrogen peroxide and new method thereof

Look, let's get serious, broaden our horizons - get in on something nano to generate some cash income till the cides get on stream, god knows when.

The paper's lead author was Lizeng Gao, a postdoctoral researcher in Koo's lab. Coauthors were Yuan Liu, Dongyeop Kim, Yong Li and Geelsu Hwang, all of Koo's lab, as well as David Cormode, an assistant professor of radiology and bioengineering with appointments in Penn's Perelman School of Medicine and School of Engineering and Applied Science, and Pratap C. Naha, a postdoctoral fellow in Cormode's lab.

The invention proposes a new concept of magnetic nano-material mimic enzyme and utilizes the new feature of the magnetic nano material to establish a new method for testing the content of hydrogen peroxide; and the method comprises: in the presence of a hydrogen donor, the magnetic nano material is used as a catalyst to catalyze the reaction between the hydrogen peroxide and the hydrogen donor so that the hydrogen donor produces coloring or luminescent products, thus testing the content of the hydrogen peroxide in a sample. The novel catalyst and the new method can be widely applied to food, environment, hygiene and other fields. Compared with the traditional enzyme catalyst, the magnetic nano-material mimic enzyme has the advantages of easy preparation, low cost, stability, reusability and the like
